ABOUT ME
Hi! I am Tyana Tibby, the world's first Book Model!
I am a West Palm Beach, Florida native. I have been working with youth since 2019. My love for reading has inspired me to start Urban Book Squad because I want to share my love for reading with other kids. I believe that reading is important because being able to read helps individuals to succeed in life. I believe that "If you can read, you can write, and if you can write, you can do anything".

I launched Urban Book Squad in the Summer of 2020 and my future goal is to expand this organization to youth across the country. Currently a high school student, my future goals are to become a photographer, visual artist, baker, or fashion designer.

I believe it is important to make a difference in the community because it is essential to give back to the community and the people around you.

Books contain many words that children are unlikely to encounter frequently in spoken language. Books for kids actually contain 50% more words that children are unlikely to encounter frequently than regular conversation, TV, or radio.
Urban Book Squad is a reading program that helps kids ages 5-11 with vocabulary, reading comprehension, quiz taking skills, and much more in an effort to reduce reading disparities and enhance every child’s chances of thriving academically and in their futures.
