Who we serve:

Urban Book Squad is a FREE program that accepts children from ages 5-11. We will help them with reading, vocabulary, and quiz-taking skills.

 

What to email us:

If you would like to enroll your child, please email: UrbanBookSquad@gmail.com saying you would like to enroll, please include your child's first and last name and grade level.

 

What to expect after emailing us:

Within 48 hours, you will receive an email back saying your child has been enrolled along with a proposed program schedule and a Zoom link  that is reusable, and lastly you will receive an invitation with your child's username, password, and the link to the classroom.     

What to expect during your first session:

We love to have both parents and the child who will be participating in the program at our very first meeting. That meeting usually takes about an hour because we have to teach the student how to use our “Reading A-Z” program, and we also read one book with the child during the first meeting.

 

How we approach our program:

We also meet with the parents before or after each program meeting with their child to go over our expectations and how the students are doing so far. We meet on Zoom twice a week during the Summer and once a week during the school year. During the Summer, we meet for six weeks and during the school year, we can either meet for half of the school year or the whole school year.
